Last weekend I was shooting a great charity event hosted by Mark Farner at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, MA. Mark is a legendary guitarist who is best known for playing with Grand Funk Railroad. He’s very nice guy who did this event to benefit Sweet Relief, which is a charity that benefits career musicians who have run into illness or other serious issues. Most people don’t realize the music industry is full of musicians who dedicate their lives to a career that usually does not end up in fame or fortune.. and most certainly does not have things like health insurance. A silent and live auction was held and a great time was had by all. A very cool event to shoot for!
Shooting a ton recently, so I’ve been a bit slacking on the blog. One of the recent shoots i’ve done was for a client named Laney.. She was wonderful to work with and the photos came out amazing!!
Spent a night in Joshua Tree California and stayed at the Joshua Tree Inn. Really cool and quirky place that is a great place to stay if you are out in the California desert. Lots of cool history too and many make the trip just to see the Graham Parsons memorial who died in Joshua Tree.
Rachel contacted me for a photoshoot in a local park. It was an unseasonably warm day and we came away with some great portraits and headshots for her professional portfolio. Check it out!
Some more photos from my coverage of the PAX EAST Boston event. Lots of great costumes and interesting people at this event!
I worked with a wonderful client, Melissa on a portrait session. The weather was cold and grey skies, but we made the best of it and the results came out wonderful! Under one hour and we came up with some really great images.
I was invited by G4tv to photograph the scene at this years PAX EAST conference in Boston, MA. For those unaware, this is a HUGE con where all the biggest video gamers and role play gamers come. I heard an estimate of 75k people will pass through the Boston Convention Center’s doors. This facility is HUGE and every nook and cranny is in use for this con.
I’m a geek at heart so I was excited to work this event, but my geek-ness pales in comparison to some of the hardcore gaming fans at PAX EAST. Check out some of my photos from Day 1. Some of the cosplay costumes are intense!!
The Pioneertown Motel is located in the small, small town of Pioneertown, CA. This high desert town was built in the 40’s as living film set to film western movies. It was in the middle of nowhere (and still is) so a place for the actors to stay had to be built. The Pioneertown Motel was the place and it stands pretty much as it was back in the old days. Directly in front of the motel is Pappy and Harriets, which is currently a popular roadhouse featuring live music, food and booze.
I was working on a project which needed some photos of some food at this new local Mexican restaurant called the Painted Burro in Somerville, MA. I didn’t bring any studio lights or anything fancy, but I like how some of them came out!
Had a great shoot with a client for their family holiday cards. Great baby shoot and they were very pleased with the results!
